Spectrometer Test Results

Results: Blocks 100% of blue light from 400nm - 455nm

DISCLAIMER: As is standard policy among all optical labs, BON CHARGE cannot be held liable for the loss or damage of any pairs of glasses sent to us by you. We treat all glasses with the utmost care, however, some glasses are sent to us that are old and worn and may not be able to handle the normal pressure of a properly-edged lens. By purchasing the custom tinting service, you are acknowledging that we handle your glasses with the utmost care but cannot be held responsible for your glasses and agree to indemnify BON CHARGE and its partners/suppliers of all liability related to your glasses.

Our products are rigorously tested in lab and real-life situations to bring you only the best quality and functionality. Our founders also personally road-test every product in their day-to-day life for at least six months before launch. That’s how committed we are to you and why our products are considered best in class.

Our Light Sensitivity Glasses are based on science and created in line with peer reviewed academic literature. Our Light Sensitivity Glasses are not simply a fashion accessory.

The exact frequencies of light in line with science are filtered. Light sensitivity or Photophobia can lead to migraines and eye discomfort. By blocking 100% of bright light between 400nm and 455nm our Light Sensitivity Glasses can help relieve symptoms of Photophobia.

Our glasses are made in an optics laboratory meaning experienced optical technicians create each lens. This also allows us to offer a prescription and readers service as well as non-prescription.

We offer full transparency on our lens capabilities, making our lens report guides available to everyone on our website before purchase, allowing you to see exactly what frequencies of light are blocked. These can be found under each individual product on the website.

Our Light Sensitivity Glasses are classified as medical devices in the USA and Australia and are registered with the FDA and ARTG.

Our Light Sensitivity Glasses are made under world class optics laboratory conditions, not mass produced in a factory. This gives them unrivalled optical grade quality

Our Light Sensitivity Glasses technology is custom made, targeting the exact frequencies of light the academic literature states we should filter during the day. Not all Light Sensitivity Glasses on the market target specific wavelengths of light and either block too little or too much of the wrong kind of light, making them suboptimal.

Our Light Sensitivity Glasses frames use the highest-grade materials available which gives them the perfect fit and comfort when wearing them. Often, cheaper pairs use low quality acetate which will feel heavier and uncomfortable when you wear them.

Our Light Sensitivity Glasses work by blocking 100% of the blue light from 400nm to 455nm which has been shown in peer reviewed studies to cause ocular damage.

BON CHARGE Light Sensitivity Glasses should be worn whenever you are under artificial light during the daytime to reduce symptoms of Photophobia such as migraines, headaches, and eye discomfort.

We are delighted to offer both prescription and reading glasses options as well as non-prescription options.

Simply select whether you’d like non-prescription, prescription or readers. For prescription service, upload your script on the product page, and we will then custom make your desired lenses in your very own prescription.

Prescription glasses can be single or multifocal options and are made in our optics lab.

For readers, you easily select your magnification between +0.25 to +4.00 on the product page once you have chosen your frames. We offer readers in +0.25 increments.

If you cannot find a frame you like you can use our custom frame service where you can send us your own frame to add our lens technology to.

Firstly we recommend identifying which frames will best suit your face shape, see our size guide on the top. Secondly, check the frame measurements by using our size guide.

Our favourite picks: - For a small face size choose Denver or Echo - For a medium face size choose Parker or Tortoise Shell - For a large face size choose Smith or Maverick.

If your BON CHARGE glasses arrive and do not fit, your local optometrist can easily adjust them to fit you perfectly. They do this either for free or for a nominal fee. However, you can exchange as many times as you like with BON CHARGE until you get the perfect frame for you.

BON CHARGE Light Sensitivity Glasses should be worn whenever you are under artificial light during the daytime to reduce symptoms of Photophobia such as migraines, headaches, and eye discomfort.

We do not deem peripheral light too much of an issue.

The iPRGC receptors are in the inner retina and function in such a way that the extremely minor light that may peek through sides or top of frames is not enough for the PLR (pupillary light reflex) to phototransduct to any large degree because the iris is open to a wider diameter due to the lens themselves already putting a dynamic reduction in light volume.

However, if you suffer from light sensitivity and deem peripheral light an issue, we recommend our fully wrap around frame called Onyx.

They help so much! Thank you!

I have severe photophobia and suffer from frequent migraines, I felt protected from harsh lighting as soon as I started wearing them, especially from fluorescent lighting. They take a little bit to get used to, but that is normal of course! They help with driving also, particularly in the evening with the bright headlights of oncoming vehicles. Traffic lights are not a problem when wearing these. The frequency of my migraines have definitely decreased.
Have recommended these to quite a few people now. Very happy with my Blublox glasses!

Extremely satisfied!

I had some old Ray-Ban sunglasses that I had stuck in a drawer and forgotten about. I decided to have the summerglo lenses put on them, and I could not be happier. Not only are they blocking blue light, but they look spectacular!
